Can anything be done about
the 11 plus?
Yes it can! Due to a new act of Parliament parents of children attending schools in Trafford now have the chance to vote on whether the 11+ examination should continue. If a majority of parents vote to end selection then the 11+ must be phased out. But before this can happen at least 20% of the parents of school age children in the borough must sign a petition asking for a ballot. |
